美術學院前身是曲阜師范大學藝術系，從1976年招收第一屆美術教育專業(yè)到現在已近40年的發(fā)展歷史。從學院歷史看，經歷了1976年到1993年的藝術系時期，1994年至2001年的美術系獨立發(fā)展時期、2002年至今由美術系改建為美術學院，發(fā)展至今。

The Predecessor of the Academy of Fine Arts is the Department of Arts of Qufu Normal University. The Academy of Fine Arts has a history of almost 40 years since it enrolled its first group of students majoring in arts education. It has witnessed the transformation from the Department of Arts (1976-1993), the independent developing period of the Department of Fine Arts (1994-2001) and the new Academy of Fine Arts (2002-now).

美術學院現設有三個系、五個教研室、一個研究所，即美術學系、繪畫系、藝術設計系、動畫教研室、油畫教研室、國畫教研室、基礎課教研室、理論教研室、美術學研究所，以及多媒體實驗室、陶藝工作室、碩士生導師工作室、圖書資料室等，總教學面積四千多平方米。圖書資料包括藝術類、設計類及人文歷史、美學等學科知識在內的2萬余冊。

The Academy of Fine Arts boasts three departments, five teaching and research offices and one research institution, namely the Department of Fine Arts, the Department of Painting, the Department of Artistic Design, the Animation Teaching and Research Office, the Oil Painting Teaching and Research Office, the Traditional Chinese Painting Teaching and Research Office, the Elementary Course Teaching and Research Office, the Theory Teaching and Research Office, the Fine Arts Research Institution, along with multi-media laboratories, the ceramic craft studio, master’s supervisors studio, library and reference room and so on. The total teaching area covers more than 4,000 square meters. Books and reference materials include more than 20,000 kinds covering subjects of arts, design, humanity, history, and aesthetics etc..

學科建設擁有美術學(含美術學、繪畫)、設計學(含視覺傳達設計、環(huán)境藝術設計)、戲劇與影視學類(動畫)七個本科專業(yè)，本科在校生936人。其中，有油畫、中國畫兩個校級精品課程，美術學和設計藝術學為山東省文化藝術科學“十二五”重點學科。擁有一級學科碩士點美術學1個(中國畫創(chuàng)作與理論研究、油畫創(chuàng)作與理論研究、中國書法理論與創(chuàng)作研究、當代繪畫實踐與理論4個方向)，二級學科碩士點5個藝術學(中國人物畫創(chuàng)作與理論研究、西方繪畫技法與理論研究2個方向)、教育學(美術課程與教學論)、學科教學(美術)、美術(中國畫創(chuàng)作研究含人物畫、花鳥畫、山水畫;油畫創(chuàng)作研究含油畫創(chuàng)作、綜合材料表現;設計藝術研究含視覺傳達設計、環(huán)境藝術設計3個方向)、工業(yè)設計工程(視覺與傳播設計)，1個碩士專業(yè)學位授權點(藝術碩士)，在校碩士研究生209人。本科專業(yè)和碩士教育布點基本全面，涵蓋了本科、碩士教.的各個方向，形成了較為完整的教學體系。

There are 936 undergraduate students at school of seven undergraduate majors, namely Fine Arts (including Fine Arts and Painting), Design Science (including Visual Communication Design and Environmental Art Design) and Drama and Film and Television Studies (Animation). We have two university-level quality courses: Oil Painting and Traditional Chinese Painting. Fine Arts and Artistic Design are key subjects of Culture and Art Science of Shandong province for the “Twelfth Five-year Plan”. There is 1 primary discipline mater’s program of Fine Arts (with 4 directions of Chinese Painting Creation and Theoretical Research, Oil Painting Creation and Theoretical Research, Chinese Calligraphy Creation and Theoretical Research, Contemporary Painting Practice and Theory), 5 secondary discipline mater’s programs of Arts (with 2 directions of Chinese Figure Painting Creation and Theoretical Research and Western Painting Techniques and Theoretical Research), Education (Art Curriculum and Teaching Theory), Subject Teaching (Arts) , Arts (with 3 directions: Chinese Painting Creation Research including Figure Painting, Bird-and-Flower Painting, Landscape Painting; Oil Painting Creation Research including Oil Painting Creation, Composite Material Performance; Design Art Research including Visual Communication Design, Environmental Art Design) and Industrial Design Engineering (Visual and Communication Design), and 1 master’s degree authorization centers (Master of Fine Arts). There are 209 postgraduate students of master level at school. The undergraduate and graduate majors are comprehensive, covering different directions and forming a comparatively complete teaching system.

美術學院現有教師51人，其中教授4人，副教授17人，博士2人，40歲以下青年教師中具有碩士學位者達98%以上，外聘國內外兼職教授12人。美術學院2005年以來教師發(fā)表科研論文134篇，其中核心A類期刊論文25篇，參展或發(fā)表藝術作品431項、核心A類71項，參加各類展覽262項，出版專著55部、教材40部，獲得各類獎項168項，泰山文藝獎1項，承擔課題66項，省部級以上課題17項，廳局級項目33項，橫向課題11項。

The Academy of Fine Arts has a faculty of 51 members now, including 4 professors, 17 associate professors, 2 doctors. Those who have a master’s degree account for over 98% among young teachers below 40 years old. 12 domestic and international part-time professors are employed from outside. Since 2005, the faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts has published 135 research papers, among which 25 are Class A core journal papers. There have been 431 artistic works exhibited or published, among which 71 are Class A. The teachers have participated in 262 exhibitions of all kinds, published 55 monographs and 40 textbooks, and are awarded 168 honors of all kinds including 1 “Mount Tai Arts Award”. The faculty undertakes 66 research projects, including 17 projects at provincial and ministerial level, 33 projects of provincial departments, and 11 horizontal projects.

辦學上，美術學院積極開展對外交流與合作，與中央美術學院、上海同濟大學、韓國平澤大學、韓國東明大學等國內外知名專業(yè)院校達成了學生交流等合作項目。學院開設了名家講壇、學生作品年展等學生課外學習交流項目，使學生始終站在藝術發(fā)展的前沿。經過40年時間的歷史積沉，美術學院培養(yǎng)出一批具有影響的畫家、書法家、設計師和學者。

The Academy of Fine Arts actively promotes exchanges and cooperation with other universities, establishing student exchange programs with famous specialized universities and colleges at home and abroad including Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tongji University, Pyeongtaek University and Tongmyong University in Korea. Thanks to the Celebrity Forum and extracurricular exchange projects like Annual Exhibition of Student Works, our students can always stand at the front of the development of arts. With 40 years of historic deposits, the Academy of Fine Arts has produced a group of influential painters, calligraphers, designers and scholars.
